All, I will be working on a project that requires some remote monitoring.  It will be a small 2 man team on this and we need some low cost software that records the call through a modem directly onto a pc or a small server.  If anyone knows of software or freeware that would do this it would be much appriciated. -Andrew

Hey there Andrew.  Nice to meet another Andrew.  I did a quick search online and found a few sites that offer freeware to record using a modem.  I also found some fully functional trial versions of software.  Most of these do record directly onto your C: drive so you're going to want to make sure you have adequite space.  Do a quick search on google or yahoo and you should find a few.

Hi Andrew,

Dont know if you have sorted out the call recording yet, but Veritape offers 2 types of software-based (MP3) call recording. Visit www.veritape.com  or call +44 161 643 1556.

By far the best software call recorder on the market is the CopyCall. www.copycall.co.uk. It gets little exposure but is used throughout Europe because it is very good and very cheap. The qulity of recording is very high and it suits 90% of systems.

Couldn't agree more. We are using over 300 hundred CopyCall units in our call centres throughout Europe and they never go wrong.

I almost abandoned my effort to achieve a reliable and regular recording regime in our offices. I was sent a CopyCall to try and I immediately bought 30 more. What a cracking bit of kit. It is so simple and effective. Just like it says on the box.

Does anybody know something to record 20 or more phones to the same computer?

Nice features like password protection and remote listening would be appreciated.

Do you know the approximate price for such a system?

Hello there, Ruslan!

I'd like to propose one of our systems Corvus-MC. Check out our web-site www.btt-int.com for more info.

It can record from 4 up to 100 channels simultaneously, detailed user access management, and remote (live, too) listening is a standard.

Approximate price for a 16-channel system is around 2000-3000$, which depends on options you require.

And I forgot to mention about the FAX conversion feature:

You can view FAXes that pass through your phone as a TIFF image.

This feature can be used together with any call recording software.

Hi Andrew,

I did a search on Yahoo and found a company called Voice Print International. From reviewing their website, they seem to offer a full-featured VoIP call recording software product - possibly a bit more robust than what you are looking for.  But you might want to check out them out at www.voiceprintonline.com.

Regards,

Bill
