Don't bother calling the tech support #, it's constantly busy.   They are dead as a doornail, website, phones, and support #.  If you want to waste your time, (866) 243-4357.

If I don't have service in a couple of hours I'll call my credit card company to cancel the auto-payment.... I don't want to be charged by a company that is not giving me any service!!!

got  through to the help line, "some people my be experiencing loss of dial tone" how about loss of everything, if you call my # you get # not in service, waited on hold for 30 minutes and gave up, was on my cell and wasn't staying on hold all day just to hear the rep say the same thing as the recording. al i got was we know you're screwed, and we'll fix it when we get around to it, and we'll still charge you for it.

same BS as from everywhere else

I have vonage and Packet 8 i have problems with Vonage and i have not had any with packet 8

i used this link to sign up for packet 8:

http://www.telebay.com/rlpotter/bbphone.html

don't cancel your vonage until you have your phone number ported over then cancel. You can't port over if you cancel your calling plan this is pretty standard for all phone companies.

same problem here in S. Florida... and to make matters worse, TODAY of all days, my original POTS phone number transferred!  So now I don't even have my regular phone working.

And calls aren't forwarding to my emergency "network-down" number either.  What is the point of having a "network-down" number, if your calls don't even get forwarded there when the network goes down!?

False good news. It went down again as I was writing that it came up.

Interesting that neither of the links on the BLOG work, and I don't find anything about the outage on the web.  I sure know it happened, both of my Vonage lines were out.

My bad. I repeated a quote symbol in my HTML. The links about te Vonage outage should work now.

I also posted an update to the Vonage outage and also the implications of ISPs potentially "slowing" down traffic to VoIP providers such as Vonage.

Check it out - Vonage Outage Part 2:
